Atkins - Week 2, Day 2

Had a sausage today for breakfast, which my mother cooked when she found out I'm in no mood for bread.

The curiosity comes again, and ... the sausage has sodium nitrate. Yes, it's something bad if taken in huge amounts, but since the sausage is a once in a while thingy, i suppose it's okay.

Then I saw... starch as an ingredient...

^_^; Processed food seriously cannot be trusted.

I went to the supermarket again, with fresh moolah in my wallet. Looked around at fresh meat, and saw that lean pork seems to be the cheapest in all meats. hmm...

Anyway, I bought a portion of chicken breast, fatty pork, and lean meat, and I must say chicken's really tasty than the other meats. Along with the garlic, making it fragrant, and, oh yeah, the oil came from yesterday's dish, so the flavour is there...

I cooked the whole portion just like that, and I realised, making cuts on the face itself will make it completely cooked easily. But it's too late, and I re-cooked the chicken after slicing it across.

The fatty pork... the skin... has hair.... grr... i can't remove it.... do I have to poach the whole thing in water before the hair can fall off? And I think i know how I got diahorrea from eating fatty pork... yes... I forgot about removing the hair, and stir fried it...

Just in case, I... also bought some canned tuna. No, not the tuna in brine, but tuna in oil. I'm thinking which one's better, the one in sunflower oil, or the one in EXTRA virgin olive oil.

By the way... NTUC tuna in oil has a interesting fact/blooper... No sugars, no starches, no carbo-laden ingredient, but has 13 GRAMS IN CARBOHYDRATES??!!

what's left is how to make the tuna into a wonderful dish that has not much carbo, and it'll be perfect....

Oh, and to confirm the taste, I had another can of Diet coke. I can seriously differentiate the taste between sugar and sweeteners.

Guess the only part nice about the Coke is the fizziness, and caffeine that lingers on my body.

On another note, my weight's reached 94kg, but the scale hasn't been moving since the past three days... hmm... either my discipline is start to wither, or something is really wrong.
